MAFAR provides financial aid to El Niño-affected farmers in Kapalawan town

Kapalawan, SGA– Over a thousand farmers from the seven barangays in the municipality of Kapalawan, SGA-BARMM received financial aid from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) on November 18.
Each farmer-beneficiary received P5,000 to help them recover from the impacts of the recent drought. The program, funded by MAFAR's Quick Relief Fund, aims to support farmers and maintain agricultural production.

Kapalawan Municipal Mayor Norman Inalang expressed gratitude to the Bangsamoro Government and the MAFAR for the timely assistance. He emphasized that the funds will significantly contribute to the recovery of affected farmers.

The beneficiaries were selected based on a rigorous assessment process, including registration in the Registry System for Basic Sector in Agriculture (RSBSA). The final validation was conducted in collaboration with local government officials.

The distribution ceremony took place in Barangay Langogan, this municipality, with Inalang personally attending to express his appreciation.
