The distribution, held in Barangay Sapu Masla, Malapatan, was spearheaded by Project TABANG, fulfilling the mandate outlined in Section 12, Article VI of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) to enhance the economic, social, and cultural development of Bangsamoro communities outside the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Project Manager Abobaker I. Edris, leading the distribution of 25-kilogram sacks of rice and food packs under the Ayuda Alay sa Bangsamoro (ALAB) program, highlighted the importance of Project TABANG in fulfilling the government's pledge to deliver immediate direct services.
"Project TABANG aims to bring the government closer to its people, including those residing outside the region's core territory," he emphasized.
The event was attended by MOLE Deputy Minister Tommy Nawa, MBHTE Chief Information and Technology Officer Haron Salah, community leaders, and volunteers from the areas.
Nawa expressed his gratitude to the Bangsamoro Government and Project TABANG for extending assistance and services to the people of Malapatan and Kiamba.
"This initiative demonstrates the Bangsamoro Government's commitment to supporting all Bangsamoro communities, regardless of their location," Nawa stated.
This aid distribution underscores the BARMM's commitment to inclusivity and its dedication to improving the lives of all Bangsamoro people, regardless of their geographical location.
