Talipao, Sulu - The Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism (MTIT) Sulu Provincial Office broke ground on Friday for a 2-kilometer concrete road in Barangay Bandang, Talipao, Sulu.  Funded by the Special Development Fund (SDF) 2022, the project aims to improve access to markets for local coconut farmers, boosting their income and quality of life.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by key officials, including MTIT Minister Abuamri Taddik, who expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim for approving the project.  

Taddik emphasized the importance of working together for the prosperity of farmers and their families.

 

Engr. Kadil Sulaik Jr., project manager of the SDF-PMO, highlighted the broader significance of the project, stating that it symbolizes a connection to economic growth, improved mobility, and wider opportunities for the community.

 

Talipao Mayor Nivocadnezar Tulawie, represented by Municipal Administrator Mohammad Alam Pala, pledged the municipality's full support for the project.

 

The new road is expected to significantly improve access to markets for the coconut farmers, opening up new opportunities for growth and development in the region.
