MP Nabil Tan equips Sulu villages with mini dump trucks

In a move aimed at strengthening local governance and improving community services, Member of Parliament Nabil Tan today turned over six units of mini dump trucks to several barangays in Sulu.
A statement released by the Bangsamo Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament on Friday claimed that the vehicles, distributed through the Ministry of Public Works, were allocated to Barangays Walled City, Takut-Takut, Chinese Pier, Tulay, Alat, and San Raymundo.

Tan emphasized the importance of these vehicles in addressing the barangays' growing needs, particularly in solid waste management, disaster response, and other essential community activities.

“These mini dump trucks will be invaluable assets to these barangays in Sulu,” said Tan during the handover ceremony.

"They will help improve efficiency in various operations, making a real difference in the lives of our constituents,”Tan said.

The procurement of the vehicles was funded through Tan's Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF), reflecting his commitment to bringing development programs and projects directly to the communities.

The provision of these vehicles is a testament to the BARMM's commitment to supporting local communities and empowering them to address their own challenges.

The BARMM government has been actively working to strengthen its presence in Sulu, prioritizing peace-building efforts, development projects, and social services.  The distribution of these mini dump trucks is a tangible example of this commitment, providing vital resources that will empower Sulu's barangays to better serve their residents.
