ICM Macacua Calls for Unity, Resilience in Eidul Fitr Message

In his message marking the end of Ramadhan, Macacua reflected on the values of discipline, compassion, humility, and faith, urging that these should continue beyond the fasting month.
"In the Bangsamoro, we know what hardship feels like. We know loss, displacement, and injustice—not just as stories, but as lived realities. And yet, we also know resilience," he said.
Macacua highlighted the Bangsamoro's journey from conflict to peace and from division to unity, stressing that healing is an ongoing process achieved through leadership, service, and solidarity.
"Unity remains our greatest strength. It means we stay committed to one another amidst our differences. Through unity, we can safeguard the gains of our struggle and build the future our children deserve," he added.
The interim chief minister reaffirmed the Bangsamoro government’s commitment to sustaining the progress of the region and ensuring the well-being of its people.
Eidul Fitr, also known as the "Festival of Breaking the Fast," is celebrated by Muslims worldwide to mark the conclusion of Ramadhan, a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection.
