MAFAR-BARMM Minister Extends Eid’l Fitr Greetings

Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, PhD, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) extended his greetings to the Bangsamoro people and the Muslim community worldwide in celebration of Eid’l Fitr 2025.
In his message, Yacob, also an Islamic scholar, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to observe the sacred month of Ramadan, emphasizing the values of fasting, patience, and reflection. He encouraged everyone to carry forward these lessons beyond the holy month by continuing acts of kindness and generosity.
“Now, as we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, let us carry forward the lessons we have learned. Let us continue to show kindness, share our blessings, and spread joy among our families and communities,” he said.
"Eid is not just a time for celebration but also a moment to renew our faith and commitment to patience, perseverance, and unity," the MAFAR head said.
The minister also highlighted the contributions of farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries, recognizing their vital role in food production. He prayed for their strength and prosperity.
Yacob concluded his message with prayers for peace, good health, and prosperity in the Bangsamoro region.
"Eid Mubarak to all. May this day bring happiness, love, and countless blessings," he said.
MAFAR is a key agency under the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), responsible for promoting agricultural and fisheries development, ensuring food security, and implementing agrarian reform programs.
It supports farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries through sustainable farming and fishing initiatives, livelihood assistance, and land distribution programs.
MAFAR also works on disaster resilience, modernizing agricultural practices, and improving the region’s economic growth. Committed to uplifting the Bangsamoro people, the ministry aims to create a self-sufficient and progressive agricultural sector.
