MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal Honors Educators on Araw ng Kagitingan

On the occasion of Araw ng Kagitingan, or the Day of Valor, Minister Mohagher Iqbal of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) shared a heartfelt message on the MBHTE's official Facebook page, honoring the courage and sacrifices of those who fought for the nation's freedom, while also recognizing the valor demonstrated daily in classrooms across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
In his message posted at the MBHTE page on Facebook, Iqbal acknowledged the unwavering dedication of teachers and educators in the region, referring to them as "modern-day heroes." He emphasized that while their efforts may not always make headlines, they are shaping the future of the Bangsamoro people by fostering knowledge, critical thinking, and peace.

"Your bravery is not on the battlefield but in standing before young minds—planting the seeds of knowledge and leadership," Iqbal said. He recognized the challenges faced by educators in BARMM, including limited resources, complex environments, and personal sacrifices, but expressed gratitude for their perseverance in uplifting and inspiring students.

The education minister highlighted that true valor is found not only in acts of defiance but also in everyday service and compassion. "It is through your daily acts of commitment that we continue to build a peaceful, educated, and empowered Bangsamoro," Iqbal said.
