Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Central Committee Chairman and United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) President Al Haj Murad Ebrahim formally announced on Saturday, May 10, 2025, the party's endorsed senatorial candidates during the Miting de Avance of the UBJP Cotabato City slate.

In an official statement, Chairman Murad outlined the basis for the endorsements, citing the candidates' proven track records, their expressed support for the Bangsamoro peace process, and their consistent advocacy for issues affecting the Bangsamoro people.

“Our selection is anchored on what is best for the greater Bangsamoro constituency and the sustainability of peace and governance in the region,” Murad said.

Murad emphasized that the endorsements aim to help sustain the gains of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), promote inclusive governance, and protect the region’s political and developmental interests in the national arena.

The UBJP serves as the political arm of the MILF, created to transition the revolutionary movement into a formal democratic force following the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro. Since its formation in 2014, UBJP has played a central role in advancing the MILF's peace and governance agenda through electoral participation
