Ma’had Alhikmah Empowers Teachers Through 3-Day Skills Enhancement Workshop

In pursuit of educational excellence and a stronger foundation in Islamic instruction, Ma’had Alhikmah recently held a comprehensive three-day professional development workshop aimed at enhancing the teaching competencies of its asaatidh. The initiative underscores the institution’s commitment to continuous improvement and ensuring that educators are well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of students and the wider community.
The workshop addressed a broad range of essential topics focused on strengthening classroom instruction and planning. These included the preparation of a Budget of Work, lesson planning, and the development of Daily Lesson Logs (DLL) to promote structured and goal-oriented teaching. Educators also explored instructional supervision techniques and student assessment strategies, including proficiency level computations to track learning progress effectively.

Additional sessions covered the integration of information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching, the application of diverse instructional strategies, effective classroom management, and the creation of Learning Activity Sheets (LAS). These components aim to foster student-centered learning environments and support independent learning. Interactive group and individual activities allowed participants to gain practical experience in applying these concepts.

Ma’had Alhikmah expressed its deep appreciation to the pool of facilitators who shared their time and expertise throughout the training. Their support was instrumental in advancing the professional growth of educators and in promoting high standards in Madrasah education.

One of the facilitators, Mikhael Adam—also a parent of Alhikmah learners—remarked, “Glad to have shared insights along with other Muslim teachers to Ma’had Alhikmah on its 3-Day Capability Building Workshop. As a school leader, I appreciate this initiative from a community madrasah as it reflects a commitment to Continuous Improvement (CI).” He added, “As a parent, I am confident that my children receive quality learning on a well-planned curriculum in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies.”
