MOLE-BARMM Releases Allowances to 110 Ummahat Islamic Educators

A total of 110 Islamic educators teaching in Ummahat classes have received their three-month allowance under the Bangsamoro Development Internship Program (BDIP), the Ministry of Labor and Employment in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOLE-BARMM) announced.

The payout was reported in a post on MOLE-BARMM’s official Facebook page in June. It is part of the ministry’s continuing efforts to support Ustadz and Ustadza engaged in grassroots-level Islamic education.

The distribution was led by Deputy Minister Tommy J. Nawa and Atty. Mohamad Ali S. Midtimbang Jr., MOLE’s Director of Administration and Finance. Both officials emphasized the critical role of the Asatidz in promoting Islamic values, peaceful coexistence, and responsible citizenship throughout Bangsamoro communities.

The BDIP seeks to provide not only short-term financial aid but also long-term recognition for the contribution of faith-based educators. MOLE noted that the Ummahat class initiative, where these educators serve, plays a significant role in religious and moral instruction, especially among women.

The ministry also acknowledged the patience and dedication of the BDIP beneficiaries and expressed its continued support for initiatives that empower educators and strengthen values-based learning in the region.
