BYC Reviews Budget Proposal Ahead of 2026 Technical Budget Hearing

In a post on his official Facebook page, BYC Chairperson Nas Dunding shared that key personnel of the commission convened to carefully review data entries related to the upcoming budget defense. The proposed allocation, to be presented before the Ministry of Finance, and Budget and Management (MFBM), centers on addressing the pressing needs of Bangsamoro youth across and beyond the core territory.
Chairperson Dunding underscored that the budget proposal is grounded in the commission’s mandate as the primary policy-making and coordinating body of the Bangsamoro Government in all matters concerning the youth. He stressed that the commission aims to move forward with strategic initiatives that reflect both the aspirations and actual conditions of young constituents in the region.
He also acknowledged the importance of unity and data-driven planning in ensuring the effective delivery of programs. According to Dunding, the proposed budget reflects not just continuity but progress, aligning resources with the vision of a stronger, more empowered Bangsamoro youth sector.
The BYC is mandated to lead in policy formulation, coordination, and compliance across Bangsamoro ministries in matters affecting youth—covering program development, implementation, and monitoring. Its mission, guided by its vision, is to empower a new generation of Bangsamoro leaders through inclusive, evidence-based policies and targeted interventions
