BARMM-MSSD’s BSK Program Delivers Livelihood Aid to 500 Bangsamoro Families in Davao Region

More than 500 Bangsamoro individuals from various parts of the Davao Region received much-needed financial assistance through the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The aid was part of the Bangsamoro Sagip Kabuhayan (BSK) program and funded through the 2024 Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) of Bangsamoro Parliament Member Hussein Muñoz.

According to the post of MP Munoz in Facebook, the multi-day distribution began on June 17 in Lupon, Davao Oriental and Madaum, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. It continued in Davao City and Digos, Davao del Sur on June 18, and concluded in General Santos City on June 19, covering recipients from Davao Occidental. MSSD personnel led the coordination and release of the aid, which aims to empower vulnerable families outside BARMM’s core territory by supporting their livelihood recovery and development.

MP Munoz expressed his gratitude to the MSSD for successfully implementing the priority project. He said the assistance is a meaningful step toward helping Bangsamoro constituents outside the region build sustainable sources of income and become more self-sufficient. He added that efforts like these reflect the BARMM government's vision of inclusive service, regardless of geographical boundaries.

Recognizing the logistical and administrative challenges in reaching Bangsamoro communities across the Davao Region, Munoz remained hopeful that continued outreach and development programs will help bridge service delivery gaps. He emphasized that initiatives like the BSK program are instrumental in realizing the aspirations of Bangsamoro communities for improved governance and quality of life.

Grateful beneficiaries shared how they plan to use the financial aid—ranging from starting small businesses to investing in community-based livelihood associations. Local leaders also commended the Bangsamoro Government for its consistent commitment to uplifting its people, no matter where they reside.
