120 Asatidz Receive Support and Training on Teaching and Mental Health Skills

The activity took place from June 23 to 25, 2025, at Blue Lotus Hotel, Davao City. It was organized through the office of Member of Parliament (MP) Hussein Muñoz, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS-BARMM), as shared in a recent Facebook post by MP Muñoz.
The workshop aimed to enhance the participants’ classroom methodologies while equipping them with basic psychological first aid knowledge to better address the emotional needs of their learners. Many of the attendees, who serve without regular compensation, also received financial assistance as part of the program.
In his message, MP Muñoz recognized the dedication of Asatidz in building the moral and spiritual foundation of the Bangsamoro. He described them as vital agents of peace, development, and moral leadership in their communities.
The Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) is mandated to promote public safety, maintain peace and order, and foster a culture of nonviolence and peaceful coexistence in the Bangsamoro region.
Guided by its mission and vision, MPOS works to build safe, secure, and resilient communities through collaborative governance, community engagement, and conflict-sensitive programs.
This initiative is part of MP Muñoz’s broader efforts to support underserved sectors in the region, including women, widows, religious leaders (Aimmah and Khatib), and others, reflecting his commitment to inclusive development across the Bangsamoro.
