BARMM honors former comrades of Ghadzali Jaafar with farming equipment

The Bangsamoro Government has provided farming equipment to three former comrades of the late MILF First Vice Chairman, Ghadzali Jaafar. This meaningful gesture recognizes the continued dedication of those who served the Bangsamoro cause from the very beginning.
The recipients, Omar Abdulhamid, Haji Solaiman Kamad, and Randy Sandigan, received essential agricultural machinery through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), facilitated by the Office of MP Mujib C. Abo.

Specifically:

- Omar Abdulhamid received a hand tractor in 2024.

- Haji Solaiman Kamad received a hand tractor on May 27, 2025.

- Randy Sandigan received a corn harvester on July 26, 2025, during a formal turnover ceremony at MAFAR’s regional office in Cotabato City.

Notably, none of the recipients requested assistance. Instead, MP Abo's office identified and invited them, showing appreciation for their past assignments and loyal service under Jaafar, particularly in areas outside the core territory of BARMM.

Many of Jaafar's comrades continue to serve in various roles within the current Bangsamoro governance, from regional ministries to local government units. They also remain active under the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) both inside and outside the region.

This initiative was made possible through the leadership of Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, in coordination with the MAFAR, and Abo. It reflects the BARMM Government’s ongoing commitment to honor those who shaped the struggle.
