MILF Chair Ebrahim dismisses reports of internal feud

According to Ebrahim, the suspension of some commanders is simply part of a normal process within the group. He explained that the MILF leadership had previously issued a directive prohibiting commanders from traveling to Manila. This was in response to information that the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. was allegedly trying to meet with the commanders without following the proper protocol.
Ebrahim stressed that reports of feuds or disagreements within the MILF are baseless. The Central Committee also learned that the commanders' trip to Manila had the permission of Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) Chief of Staff Sammy Al-Mansoor.
Meanwhile, the Central Committee has formed a group to investigate the matter. Ebrahim, however, believes that the commanders did not commit any major violations and that their suspension orders will likely be lifted.
