BARMM send medical service aid workers, physicians, relief goods to Cebu

The health ministry of the Bangsamoro region, headed by MP Kadil Sinolinding, Jr sent to the calamity-stricken Cebu province 41 field medical service workers, physicians, and medicines for common ailments, hygiene kits, and more than 20 tons of other relief provisions, including safe drinking water, and arrived in Cebu province early Saturday, November 15.
A report by Philstar on November 15 says that Cebu and other nearby provinces were jolted by a strong tremor in September and, subsequently, devastated by typhoons Tino and Uwan in onslaughts between early November and early this week.
The medicines, hygiene kits, and other supplies are for distribution to residents of Balamban and Asturias towns severely affected by Typhoon Nito and Uwan, and to patients in the Everslay Child Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue City.
“We have teams for community service missions in Balamban and Asturias, and at the Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue City in Cebu province. They brought vital health commodities for distribution during their missions there,” the physician-ophthalmologist Sinolinding said as quoted by Philstar.
Meanwhile, Emissaries of Cotabato Gov. Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza and employees of their Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office turned over on Friday, November 14, to local officials in Liloan, Cebu, relief supplies transported to the area from their province in Central Mindanao, using six trucks and two smaller van-type vehicles.
“We are thankful to the units of the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Army that helped facilitate the transport of the relief supplies from our provincial capitol in Central Mindanao to Liloan in Cebu province,” Mendoza told reporters on Saturday.
Sinolinding said the chiefs of the integrated provincial health offices in Lanao del Sur and in Maguindanao del Sur, the physicians Alinader Minalang ang Ariff Mohammad Baguindali, respectively, shall together oversee another BARMM relief mission in Cebu on November 19.
