2-day IEC campaign, mass application intake begin for MILF amnesty in Maguindanao

The activities are led by the Government of the Philippines (GPH) Peace Implementing Panel in coordination with the MILF Panel, the National Amnesty Commission (NAC), and Local Amnesty Board (LAB)-Cotabato.

 

The first day of the campaign was held at the Daparanan Gymnasium in Simuay, Maguindanao del Norte. The second day will take place at the Mamasapano Municipal Training Center in Maguindanao del Sur.

 

The campaign aims to inform qualified applicants about the requirements and procedures involved in applying for amnesty, as well as to facilitate the acceptance of applications before the deadline on March 4, 2026.

 

Officials overseeing the initiative emphasized that this effort is part of the ongoing implementation of the peace process’s normalization track, which seeks to strengthen peace and stability in the Bangsamoro region. 

The campaign is a crucial step towards encouraging eligible MILF members to avail of the amnesty and support the region’s peaceful development.
