Centralized govt centers to rise in SGA-BARMM

The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) – SGA Field Office is in the final stages of preparation for the project, which includes site assessments and the completion of required documents to expedite construction.
On Wednesday, February 25, MILG officials and local government representatives inspected the proposed site in the municipality of Kadayangan, discussing necessary actions from local government units (LGUs) to facilitate procurement and initiate construction promptly.
According to Zaiton Abas, Head of the MILG-SGA Field Office, this initiative aims to build efficient local governance while making government services more accessible to residents.
"The municipal government center will serve as a hub where—in addition to the municipal hall—various BARMM Government agencies can establish their field offices. This creates a strategic one-stop shop for the public," Abas stated.
He emphasized that centralizing services will alleviate the burden on residents, who currently have to travel to multiple locations to access government offices.
“This development is vital because it allows residents to save both time and resources. They will no longer need to travel to multiple locations to access different offices, making the entire process significantly easier and more efficient,” Abas added.
In line with Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua's directive to expedite the project, LGUs are encouraged to promptly finalize their necessary documentation. This includes the deed of donation for the land—preferably three to five hectares—a site development plan, and related municipal resolutions, among other prerequisites.
Abas mentioned that each municipal hall will be funded with P30 million and will follow the standard architectural design of the Ministry, which has been successfully implemented in other municipalities across the Bangsamoro region.
