MENRE debunks rumors of BARMM fuel shortage; assures stable supply

In a statement released to clarify the situation, MENRE characterized the information as "outdated and inaccurate." The ministry emphasized that petroleum supplies continue to arrive regularly at distribution facilities to meet public demand without interruption.
Normal Operations and Sufficient Inventory
MENRE assured the public that the region’s fuel inventory remains sufficient and that distribution operations are functioning normally. According to the agency, there are currently no significant disruptions or delays in the supply chain within the Bangsamoro territory.
"The supply of petroleum in the region is stable, and operations remain normal. We are not experiencing any disruptions at this time," the ministry stated.
Global Market Factors
While supply remains steady, the agency acknowledged that fluctuations in oil prices are inevitable due to volatility in the global market, particularly ongoing regional tensions in the Middle East. Despite these external pressures, MENRE noted that the government is implementing strategic measures to maintain supply stability across the region and the country.
Collaboration with DOE
To ensure the public receives accurate and timely data, MENRE confirmed it is maintaining close coordination with the national Department of Energy (DOE). This partnership aims to monitor price movements and logistical flows to prevent any artificial shortages or price manipulation.
The ministry further advised the public to rely solely on official government announcements and to be wary of unverified reports that may cause unnecessary panic or spread misinformation.
