Representatives of ABOT formally submit their registration documents to election authorities, marking their official intent to participate in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s (BARMM) first parliamentary elections, as officials exchange documents in a ceremonial handover witnessed by supporters and staff.

The filing was held Saturday, April 4, at the Bangsamoro Electoral Office in Cotabato City, led by ABOT Party President Samsodin Amella along with party officials and supporters.
Party leadership said the move signals their readiness to take part in the historic BARMM Parliamentary Elections set for September 14, 2026 – a milestone that will see the region transition to a parliamentary form of government following the ratification of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).
Composed of representatives from Moro, Lumad, and Settler communities, the ABOT Party champions “tri-people unity” and aims to ensure inclusive and balanced representation across all sectors of Bangsamoro society.
Officials emphasized their commitment to advancing the welfare of all regional communities, with key priorities including peacebuilding, inclusive economic growth, protection of indigenous peoples’ rights, and promotion of transparent and accountable governance.
They added that their participation reflects a strong dedication to democratic engagement and grassroots representation, particularly for marginalized sectors that have historically had limited political voice.
As the region prepares for its landmark elections, the involvement of groups like the ABOT Party is expected to expand representation and strengthen democratic processes in Bangsamoro.
