Moro lawyers, peace advocate file disbarment case against Atty. Gadon

Two Moro lawyers and a peace advocate filed separate disbarment complaints at the Supreme Court against senatorial candidate Atty. Lorenzo “Larry” G. Gadon for his TV interview statement vowing to kill Moro men, women, young and old, if they will refuse after ten attempts on his offer to talk on resolving rebellion in Mindanao.

Lawyers Algamar Latiph and Musa Malayang recently filed a disbarment case against Gadon at the SC while Agakhan “Binladen” M. Sharief, a prominent peace advocate from Lanao del Sur filed last week similar complaint at the same court.

Gadon’s interview video footage by Interaksyon.com shared over facebook that gained furious reactions from among the Moro netizens.

The senatorial candidate who runs under the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan party issued an apology statement thereafter and said he was carried by his emotion during the interview.

Other Moro netizens said his apology should be accepted while others said he should be disbarred for him to learn a lesson.

Some commentators opined that Gadon just wanted to gain publicity considering he does not belong to the magic 12 on surveys of the preferred senatorial candidates.

Gadon was part of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s legal team.
