UOB-UAE joyfully celebrates Feast of Eid’l Fitr

The officers and members of the UOB-UAE in a very joyous mood celebrated the Feast of Eid’l Fitr marking the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. at the Grand Landmark Hotel in Dubai this first day of 2016 from 9:00 a.m. and ended at 4:00 p.m. corresponding to Wednesday, 6th of July 2016.   

The celebration was a collective decision of all officers of the UOB-UAE. Almost two hundred officers, members, including new members of the UOB-UAE attended the said celebration.

Speakers were Ustadz Abdulrahman Musa, Ustadz Ismael Balungay, Ustadz Norodin Andy, Ustadz Sabila, UOB-UAE Board member Abdulrahman Gogo, UOB-UAE Sharjah Chapter Chairperson Adan Mohammad, UOB-UAE President Anwar Amil and this writer. 

The asatidz (plu. of ustadz) stressed the significances of the Holy month of Ramadhan, the revelation of the Holy Quran that fell on Ramadan, and the imposition of the fasting during the Holy month of Ramadhan, the migration of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, and the rewards of the religious and faithful Ummah (community of Muslims) who piously fulfilled and follow the path of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) during and every Holy month of Ramadhan. 

Mr. Gogo emphasized the importance of learning useful skills for the officers and members to be used back home. He also lauded the leadership of this writer that one should emulate so that organizations can succeed in their goals.  

Also, Mr. Mohammad categorically explained the importance of great understanding between and among officers and members of the UOB-UAE as well as to enlighten all the Bangsamoro in the host country.  Mr Amil stressed the importance of unity and leadership. 

Furthermore, this writer stressed wide range of topics such as leadership, political, diplomacy, legacy, economics, investments to name the few and also gave advises to the leaders of the UOB-UAE as well as its officers and members. 

This writer finally bid farewell to the officers and members of the UOB-UAE as he finally decided to go back home for good and will continue to serve physically and mentally his people in the homeland.

After this writer pronounced his bid farewell, the audience in retrospect made a supplication and hope for the success of this writer in his forthcoming journey back home.

During the open forum, some questions specifically related to Islam and the Holy month of Ramadhan were asked by some participants and answered by the speakers.
