North Cotabato Moro Entrepreneurs organize Chamber of Commerce and Industry

A non-stock corporation of Moro Entrepreneurs named United Moro Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (UMCCI) was recently organized and registered with the Security Exchange Commission Registration (SEC) with Certificate of registration no.- CN201622898 and Company Tax Identification No.: 009-424-668-000. 

Its principal office is located inside the Kabacan Terminal Complex (KTC), National Highway, Kayaga, Kabacan, North Cotabato.

The company aims to effectively represent the business sector in all government and private bodies; serves as a venue for business forum where entrepreneurs could discuss and lobby for a favorable business policies, plans and programs; render business services in aid to the local economic development; and to implement investment generation, job creation and labor programs.

Among the founding members are Young Moro Entrepreneurs from the different municipalities of North Cotabato province, also the area of operation. This writer was the elected Chief Executive Officer (CEO) task to lead and manage the company, uplift the quality of life of members and other MSME’s in the locality through effective and efficient business services, advocacy, partnership, and networking.

The plans and programs will focus on advocacy for business growth and stable peace including strategic business services, partnership, and business networking both nationally and internationally. 

In a meeting recently, the incorporators agreed to apply for accreditation for membership with the Federation of Bangsamoro Civil Society Organization (FBCSO), LGUs, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and other government agencies and private bodies. 

Today, the said company contemplates to work with and assist other local organizations including potential investors, manufacturers, traders and developers to develop vast unproductive land for sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the locality.
