Imam Omar Alip, Head of local Committee on Da’wah said that, “In Islam, seeking knowledge is obligatory to every Muslims. Age, status and place do not matter.  It is about one’s commitment and obedience to Allah (The Most High) and to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) the benefits of it would redound to one who strived for it.

After their class session, the Moro Community leaders usefully consumed the remaining hours to tackle social and political issues that affect their communities. They held their regular meeting at Asta Madrasa at Tulungatung on January 1. 2017.

Issue on GPH-MILF Peace process and the signed agreements were among the centerpiece of discussion with the hope that the Duterte Administration will ultimately seal off the Moro decades political problem through the passage of a Bangsamoro law based on the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) as it reflects the aspiration of the Bangsamoro and address the “historical injustices” committed to the Moros.

BLMI Officer, Tirso Tahir gave updates on the GPH-MILF Peace deal and the aspects of convergence of two Moro Fronts and the participation of other stakeholders in a more inclusive peace roadmap for the Bangsamoro.

In his closing message, Imam Alip reminded them to hasten unity in order to attain the Bangsamoro aspirations by quoting some verse from noble Qur’an as follow:

“The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear God, that ye may receive Mercy: Surah Al-Hujuraat-10 (49:10)”.
