UNFPA turns-over Birthing Facilities to Amanah Clinic at MILF Administrative Base

A collaboration agreement signed in August 26, 2015 by and between the United Nations Population Fund (UNFP) and the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) represented by UNFPA Country Representative Mr. Klaus Beck and BDA Executive Director Mohammad S. Yacob, had finally materialized with the turn-over of medical and birthing equipment during a ceremony held at the MILF Administrative Base of Camp Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao on March 8. 

The turn-over of medical and birthing equipment are part of UNFPA program on Strengthening Capacities for Reproductive Health Delivery and Advocacy in the Bangsamoro.

The handing over ceremony was attended by MILF Chairman Alhaj Murad Ebrahim, Dr. Danda N. Juanday, President of the Bangsamoro Medical Society and witnessed by officers and staff of UNFPA-Philippines. Local residents and some clinic’s patients were also present.

The United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA), formerly the United Nations Fund for Population Activities is a UN agency whose work involves the improvement of reproductive health and providing supplies and services.
