The team leader of MILF focal persons Sheik Abdulhadie B. Gumander imparted to the participants a perspective on " Pledge of Allegiance in Islam " and made emphasis on the context of " Mubaya'ah " or commitment, and its importance.

He argued that Pledge of Allegiance is allowed in Islam, and practiced by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong..

He also stated that part of allegiance is loyalty to the leader in general by following his order or command for the welfare of Muslim Ummah (community of Muslims) or Bangsamoro people in particular, and he is bound to defend its ranks against evildoers.

"By accepting the " amanah " (trust) reposed to us in helping the 1,869 MILF disengaged children, and their families...no matter what happen to the Bangsamoro aspirations...By Allah, we are committed to it," Sheikh Gumander concluded.
