Simunul Youth Movement says YES for BOL

Cotabato City - “For the sake of peace, the blood, sweat and tears of our leaders, but soon it will be the ink of our pens, and we’ll vote YES to Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL),” said, Abdurahman Idris, Head of Tawi-Tawi’s Youth Organization Tumpukan Bangsa Sama, Inc during a gathering of Sama youths in Simunul, Tawi-Tawi on November 9. 

The Masjid Shaykh Karimul Makhdum located in island of Simunul is the oldest mosque in the Philippines celebrated its 638th Founding Anniversary. 

The Tumpukan Bangsa SAMA INC’s, a youth organization in Tawi-Tawi island province in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, Simunul Youth Guild and Sama Universal Network gathered together for one common goal, to work for the winning of the yes vote during the plebiscite. 

Shanin A. Salapuddin, President of Sarangguniang Kabataaan representing fifteen (15) Barangay youth Councils of Simunul said, “We are all-out support to Bangsamoro Organic Law and will vote YES during 2019 referendum.”

“Ya on ku sahaya”, a youth organization which means, “My Name is Light” in Sinama, the local vernacular of Bangsa Sama organized the event to express their support to BOL during the plebiscite.

The multi-sectoral youth representatives delivered their strong message of support for BOL also known as R.A, 11054 or BARMM.

Considering the youth has vital role in nation building, and peace building in the Bangsamoro, the Moro Youth are secured and protected under the BOL. They are also represented in the Bangsamoro Parliament. 

ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman in his speech recognized the efforts of their ancestors who fought for the Bangsamoro homeland. “There is no Bangsamoro without Sheikh makhdum,” he said.

A young leader of Simunul Youth Guild, Alihfazeer S. Akbar mentioned that “this land was once the home of young Simunulians who fought for Jabidah, and now, we promise to be a home for us to vote for YES for BOL.”

Datu Nur-Gerry Wagas of Lakas Kabataan underscored, “Let us support BOL for us, the youth, to chart our own future.” 

A movement of One Tawi-Tawi prays for the success of all Bangsamoro that they deserve, in shaa Allah.
