Senators Go, de Lima & dela Rosa urge Muslim Filipinos to pray for end of Covid-19 crisis, unity of people

As the Muslim Filipinos embarks in a spiritual journey, indulging in prayers and meditation,in the holy month of Ramadhan, three senators urged the followers of Islam to pray for an end of the crisis brought by the corona virus 2019 (Covid-19) and that there will be unity of Filipino people.
Senators Leila de Lima, Lawrence Christopher “Bong”Go and Ronald dela Rosa conveyed their Ramadhan messages for the Muslim Filipinos on Friday (April 24), the start of Ramadhan.

“These trying times will only attest and strengthen the spirit of Ramadan to endure challenges no matter how difficult, to be compassionate towards others, and to show strong faith and solidarity,” De Lima said.

She said there should be a common prayer for the immediate cure of Covid-19, healing for those infected and safety of the frontliners while Ramadhan is observed.
“Let us continue to pray for this crisis to end, for the well-being of our countrymen, and for us to work together in achieving our shared goal of lasting peace and justice in our country,” the lady senator said.
In his message, Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said, “Amidst the challenges we face these days, let us pray to Allah for the safety of the nation and the Filipino people. 

He reminded the Filipino Muslims to put in their hearts and minds the social distancing measures for protection against the deadly Covid-19.

Go hoped that love and unity will reign in the hearts of the Filipinos in this period of crisis and he wished for a blessed Ramadhan.

Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa in his message urged Muslim Filipinos to pray that Allah will end the difficulty the nation has been experiencing because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He urged his countrymen to pray as one that everybody will be back to their normal lives.

The Department of Health on Saturday (April 25) reported that the total number of Covid-19 cases has reached 7,294 with 494 deaths and 792 recoveries.
