The Ministry Science and Technology (MOST) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) conducted series of stakeholders’ consultation in the region involving representatives from various sectors of society. The activity which started last July was conducted in different provinces of the Bangsamoro region. Participants included local government units, religious groups, cooperatives, enterprise groups, professionals, law enforcers and members of the academe.

In a post at the Facebook page of MOST, it said that the objective of the consultation is to know their needs and challenges enocuntered, inform and deliver to them the projects and programs of MOST and draw out their suggestions as to what they want to happen, and which of the MOST programs they are willing to join, according to Minister Engr. Aida Silongan.

The stakeholders’ consultation will not only give the ministry a vantage point to understand the trends and issues of the community but will also help MOST in identifying appropriate intervention and assistance to the stakeholders.

Further, the consultation enables MOST to track the needs and expectations of the people from the five provinces Bangsamoro and communities of North Cotabato that joined the autonomous region.
