UNYPAD, International Relief holds training of trainers for SPIDS Project

GENERAL SANTOS CITY –The United Youth for Peace and Development UNYPAD and International Relief (IR) held the Training of Trainers  for Integrated Participatory Barangay Development Planning Participation under the “Stabilization, Peace-Promoting Inclusive Development and Social Cohesion” in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) or SPIDS. The activity was held at Fortune Suites Function Hall at Iligan City on August 2-6, 2021.

SPIDS in BARMM Project support the efforts of the regional and national government for the people to attain peace, economic stability and good governance in the Bangsamoro region.

The said undertaking is currently being implemented in 30 target barangays of the provinces of North Cotabato, Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur according to Morsid Macabangin, SPIDS project coordinator.

He cited that the project supports the advocacy of UNYPAD’s president, Dr. Rahib Kudto which is to attain lasting peace in Mindanao.

“If you want to see the beauty of the BARMM 20 years from now, you can assess the efforts and time you invest today,” Dr. Kudto recently said.

“This project also supports the BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim’s thrust which is to have a moral governance in the autonomous region,” he added.
The project recently started with the contract signing followed by training of personnel facilitated by IR and UNYPAD.

UNYPAD’s Director in its Development Management Center Morsidin Husain said one’s affiliation is not a hindrance for him to help others. (With report from Abu Anna Sandangan)
