The activity was led by NCMF Secretary Guiling Mamondiong with the support of Commissioners Yusoph Mando, Ras Lidasan, Jr., Dalisay Macadawan, Samer Allong, and Sheikh Jamal Munib.

Religious and traditional leaders and members of the academe coming from Central Mindanao, Lanao and the island provinces participated in the event.

The participants were grateful for the initiative of the NCMF Secretary for coming up with such gathering which they described as important and had provided opportunity for the grassroots stakeholders to partake in the nation-building through the Commission.

Among the issues that surfaced included violent extremism, less opportunity for employment among the Ulama, disagreement or debates among some Ulama on aqeda, prevalence of poverty, non-standardised Madrasah curriculum, unsynchronized fatwas of Muftis from differnet regions, un-institutionalized Zakat system among Muslim workers, discrimination among Moro tribes, exorbitant dowry, and less accessibility to Shari’a courts by Muslim clients.

The attendees also underscored the importance of the promotion of honesty, integrity, transparency, accountability and efficiency in public service.

They also called for national unity in support of the President Marcos’ flagship program dubbed as "Kalusugan, Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan."

Prominent ulamas present were Sheikh AbdulHadi Gumander, former Secretary-General of Hay-atul Ulama Bil Filibin bil Muslimeen under the Bangsamoro Government; Sheikh Salem “Dhayfullah“ Omar, President of the Philippine Federation for Private Madaris; Sheikh Ansary “Abo Anas” AbdulMalik, Chairman of Provincial Ulama Council of Lanao del Sur; Sheikh Saad Amate, President of United Imams of the Philippines; Judge Arab Ampaso, Chairman of the Ulama Supreme Council of the Philippines for Peace and Development; Islamic Missionary from KSA Embassy Sheikh Umeir Kalimbol; and the chairman of Muslim Religious Council of Gensan Sheikh Ibrahim Andang Jr.

Some of the academicians who attended were Prof. Dr. Ali Panda, Former Dean of King Faisal Center of the Mindanao State University; Police Major Badrudin P. Esmail, Chief of Salam Police Center Field Unit - Eastern Mindanao; Jocelyn Lambac-Kanda, Division Chief of City Mayor’s Office Integrated Cultural Communities Affairs Division; and Yusoph Macabada, National President of Salam Police Advocacy Group.

The NCMF SarGen Provincial Office, headed by Provincial Director Aida Seddic, facilitated the activity.
