LTO Maguindanao district turns over to BARMM despite long overdue

COTABATO CITY- Land Transportation Office Maguindanao district officially turned over on Wednesday, Feb 22, to Bangsamoro Land Transportation Office for administration and operation. 
MOTC Minister Atty Paisalin Tago said that the turnover is happened because in one the provisions of Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) stated all offices and premisses belongs to BARMM should be turned over to Bangsamoro government.

"It is a great honor and it is a historic moment in the history of BARMM, noon pa ito kaya lang may mga legal and technicalities involved hindi na-turn over. BASULTA and Cotabato City were turned over earlier." Said Atty Tago.

"Sabi nga nila maski huli man daw at magaling nakakahabol pa rin. Well, we are catching now." He shared. 

The Minister greeted the audiences on behalf of Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim we are thankful to the reception of our neighbor region-12 employees. The collaboration and coordination between our agencies should continue to tackle the emerging issue before like non-recognition of our issuance of license among others. 

Meanwhile, LTO region-12 representative Elmer Obhelidhon, Chief Administrative officer said, "Pursuant to the memorandum issued by the regional director implementing the memorandum issued by the assistant secretary which is in compliance with the directive of the secretary of  DOTC we are very grateful because our turn over was successful. Thank you good afternoon."

Accordingly, despite long overdue, the Land Transportation Office of Marawi City and Maguindanao district were simultaneously turned over.
