141 new MAFAR employees sworn in

Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) Minister Mohammad Yacob thanked the 141 newly hired personnel as “their skills and expertise would be instrumental in achieving of the ministry's goals.”

Yacob led the oath-taking of the new employees in a ceremony held on Wednesday, May 31, at the Al Nor Convention Center in Cotabato City.

Of the 141 personnel, 32 will be deployed at the regional office; 37 in Maguindanao; 40 in Lanao del Sur; 20 in Sulu; 2 in Basilan, and 10 in Tawi-Tawi.  
 
Yacob stressed the importance of collaboration and teamwork in implementing ministry's programs and projects.

"Your presence here today signifies your commitment to serve the farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries,” Yacob said. 

According to a news release by the ministry, the newly hired personnel “will closely work with farmers, fisherfolk, and other stakeholders to implement different programs and projects that will improve the productivity and competitiveness of the agricultural, fisheries and agrarian reform sector.”
