MNLF in Sulu supports BBL

INDANAN SULU, April 10, 2018-The Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) in Sulu believes that the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) is the ultimate solution to decades of conflict in Mindanao that can also correct the historical injustices committed against the Bangsamoro people, said Rajah Pahallawan, one of the members of MNLF Central Committee during the chairmanship of Datu Muslimen Sema of the MNLF. 

Pahallawan is an OXZA foreign trained, and is now strongly supporting new MNLF Chair Yusop Jikiri.

If the BBL is passed by congress and ratified in a plebiscite, it would address the problem on peace and order situation, the lack of job opportunities, and can bring development to the province of Sulu, Pahallawan added.

The BBL would also eliminate violent extremism in Sulu, he said further.

MNLF Jikiri group is planning to have joint peace advocacies with their MILF counterpart in Sulu to let people see that the two Moro Fronts are working together in achieving peace. 

MNLF in Sulu is willing to invite their MILF brothers most particularly member of the Central Committee to visit Sulu so that the Moro convergence can be finally realized.

During the Bangsamoro Assembly in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao last November 26-27, 2017 Chairman Jikiri declared his full support to the passage of BBL by congress.

The MNLF and MILF, although they are separate organizations, they have a common objective, the Bangsamoro Right to self-determination (RSD).
