Lobregat wants Christian office in Bangsamoro remove

MANILA , PHILIPPINES . July 12, 2018 - The Bangsamoro Basic Law provision on the creation of an Office for Settler Communities  ( Christians ) has been removed  by the House of Representatives of Bicameral Committee led by Cong.  Celso Lobregat of Zamboanga City.

This happened during the third day of Bicameral deliberations held at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas Ave., Mandaluyong City.

As what many peace advocates  had said that Lobregat is the " sworn enemy " of BBL who showed his consistency in opposing the establishment of Bangsamoro political entity as shown in the previous forum and public hearings on BBL.

Recently, he sought the opinion of Solicitor General Jose Calida together with the City officials of Zamboanga City headed by Mayor Bing Climaco if they could buy the 96 hectares of Cabatangan Complex that is owned by Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao ( ARMM ) located at Zamboanga City fearing that Bangsamoro government will utilize the complex for the Bangsamoro people.

All these indications only showed the biases and prejudices of this legislator of Zamboanga against the Bangsamoro for the reasons only known to him.

Maybe one obvious reason is that he wanted to remove the Office of Settlers is to create an animosity among the Bangsamoro and the Christians with an intention of destroying the " Principle of Inclusiveness " of the proposed Bangsamoro government.

During the first day of Bicam deliberations on BBL, Lobregat was already forewarned by members of the committee not to dip his finger in Bangsamoro because he is not part of the Bangsamoro which maybe is due to his " stubborness and ungentlemanly behavior " during the proceedings.

Supporters of BBL hope that the Bicam committee will not heed to the proposal of Cong. Lobregat who plays " DEAF, DUMB and BLIND " in quest of a sustainable peace and development in Mindanao particularly the Bangsamoro homeland by passing a BBL that is acceptable to the Bangsamoro people
