IHH-Turkey donates cows for Qurban Distribution

PANDAG, MAGUINDANAO (August 12, 2019) — iHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation of Turkey in partnership with the United Youth of Bangsamoro for Al-islah and Al-tanmiyyah, Inc. (UYBAAI) donated 10 heads of cattle (cows) as Qurban Offering for the Bangsamoro people at Kayaga, Pandag, Maguindanao and the neighboring municipalities

The UYBAAI hosted the distribution of the Qurban with the presence of the iHH personnel at the residential house of Ustadh Khalipa U. Nando, Wali of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and Chief Justice of the Supreme Shari’ah Court, MILF Central Committee. 

The mode of distribution was inclusive with 652 beneficiaries that include women, children, elders, youth, students, teachers, Islamic teachers and officials of MILF Damakling Provincial Political Committee from different municipalities.

Sheikh Mohamad Shuayb  Ambod, President of UYBAAI, and his officers, coordinators and members celebrated the “Feast of Sacrifice” at the house of the Ustadh Nando as millions of Muslims celebrated it around the world.

Sheikh Ambod said “The significance of celebrating this Feast of Sacrifice is to commemorate how Prophet Abraham (peace be with him) fulfilled the three words of Allah. These are: 1. The Islamic Call and Guidance where nobody helped him even his father, 2. He was thrown in a burning fire through his father, and 3. He was ordered to sacrifice his son Esmael where Allah replaced his son with a sheep after assuring his sincerity and loyalty. 

Qur’an 02:124; “And when his Lord tried Ibrahim with certain words, he fulfilled them. He said: Surely, I will make you an Imam (leader) of men. Ibrahim said: And of my offspring? My covenant does not include the unjust said he.”

The Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief or ?HH is a conservative Turkish NGO provides humanitarian relief in areas of war, earthquake, hunger, and conflict. This foundation is active in more than 100 countries. The ?HH holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2004. 

The United Youth of Bangsamoro for Al-Islah and Al-Tanmiyyah, Inc. (UYBAAI) was founded in 2018 by a group of professional youth of Bangsamoro in Maguindanao, North Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat provinces that came together to improve and upgrade the Bangsamoro students and professional youth with a sense of service, prior knowledge, skills, leadership and management training and Islamic values trainings to make them more relevant in Bangsamoro communities in addressing the world contemporary problems of moral decay. Besides, this professional youth organization was also established to be wisely responsive to the community needs on the transition formulation by the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.
