BIAF 117th base command, northern sulu political committee conduct joint advocacy forum on BOL

CAMP DARAPANAN, SULTAN KUDARAT, MAGUINDANAO- The Northern Sulu Provincial Committee of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) headed by Abdulmotalib K. Ismi conducted a Joint Advocacy Forum on Bangsamoro Organic Law with 117th Base Command of Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) headed by Brigade Commander Musackar M. Abbi at Brgy. Lambago , Luuk , Sulu on September 2, 2018.

The joint advocacy was attended by at least 200 organic members of the Municipal and Barangay Committees of MILF and civilian populace of the area.

MILF Municipal Committee Chairman Adil Jumadil of Luuk Town welcomed the participants and encouraged them to listen attentively because it lies the future of the next generation.

MILF - SWC Chairperson Sitti Ruaida I. Ismi of Northern Sulu gave a message of support and imparted the role of women in Islam for Nation Building.   

ADHOC Adviser Ali Usman H. Jilah inspired the participants about the virtues of patience (sab'r) and consistency on the assertion of the Bangsamoro rights and aspiration.

Chairman Ismi talked about the gains of the GPH - MILF Peace Process, its opportunities and consequences to the Bangsamoro people while Alridski A. Sadjari and Muldison J. Taung imparted the salient features of the Bangsamoro Organic Law and its challenges to the Bangsamoro people.

Brigade Commander Abbi advised the participants to go out and register in order for them to participate in the coming election.

A local detachment commander of the Armed Forces Philippines (AFP) who requested his name be withheld) was also invited in the said activity signified his support to the BOL and commended the organizers for holding such activity so that the populace could also be rightly inform about its importance.     

The joint activity was concluded with attendees committing for a Yes vote on BOL in the upcoming plebiscite, and promised to campaign for its ratification.
