MAFAR trains 53 Buldon farmers on Integrated Farming System

The Ministry on Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform trained 53 farmers of Buldon Maguindanao on integrated farming system aimed at helping the beneficiaries increase their profit.
The activity was conducted at Probinsyano Farm in Barangay Aratuc on September 10, 2020 in collaboration with the local government unit and Probinsyano Farm Producers Cooperative.

MAFAR said as posted in its website mafar.bangsamoro.gov.ph, “The ministry introduced them to modern technologies by teaching them the benefits of integrated farming system. This is part of upholding the advocacy of the BARMM government through the ministry in bringing the assistance and services closer to the community.”

The participants came from barangays Aratuc, Calaan, Dinganen, Nuyo, Kulimpang, Minabay and Mataya.

They expressed appreciation for the training citing their learning will help them maximize and sustain the demands of their farming activities for increased production and income.

The farmers learned the modern way of goat raising and they realized the need to be updated in livestock production that may increase their income.

Dr. Jalika D. Mangacop, Consultant for HVCDP Concerns, thanked the participants for their interest to the training. She asked the trainees to value the knowledge learned that will improve their production. 

Noeh Quitor, Probinsyano Farm Agriculture Specialist, thanked MAFAR officials for giving them the chance to acquire new ideas regarding vegetable and animal production.
