Moro Youth Hour to tackle “Shaping Peace Together: A Bangsamoro Perspective” on Int’l Day of Peace

The Young Moro Professionals Network’s (YMPN) Moro Youth Hour will have the discussion on the episode entitled “Shaping Peace Together: A Bangsamoro Perspective” on Sunday (September 21) in observance of the International Day of Peace.
In this upcoming episode, YMPN has invited Professor Moner Bajunaid, Secretary General of National Ulama Conference of the Philippines, Froilyn Mendoza,Head of Teduray-Lambangian Women’s Organization and MP Atty. Rasol Mitmug, Jr., member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.

The discussion be held on-line in the Facebook page of the YMPN from 4:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon.  

Bajunaid is a renowned peace advocate, former Chancellor of Mindanao State University-General Santos City and former Commissioner of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

Mendoza is a former member of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission representing the Indigenous Peoples (IPs), the body which crafted the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law. She is an active advocate of peace and rights of women and IPs.

Mitmug served as the chief of staff of formerAutonomous Region in Muslim Miindanao (ARMM) Governor Mujiv Hataman and Department of Education-ARMM secretary. 

Moro Youth Hour is an on-line program initiated by a Moro youth organization where youth related issues are discussed by the host with invited resource persons.

YMPN is a non-stock, non-profit, non-partisan organization, composed of young Moros, whose primary purpose is to serve the common interests of the Bangsamoro people.

Founded in 2000, the organization has been actively engaged in various undertakings such as peace advocacy, policy reform, protection of human rights, capacity-building of Moro youth and youth volunteerism.
