Gensan Muslim student orgs fed to host 2nd Muslim youth summit

The Federation of Muslim Student Associations (FEMSA)-General Santos City will host the “2nd Muslim Youth Summit – Socsargen wide Camping Event” with the theme “Empowering Muslim Youth on the Challenges of the New Generation” this 23-26 March 2016 at Aaryad Resort, Barangay Bawing, General Santos City.

Organizers enjoin young Muslims ages 15 year old and up from the provinces of Sarangani, South Cotabato and General Santos City in the upcoming event where important topics like Islamic faith, Islamic leadership, and responsibilities of Muslim youth will be discussed.

Resource persons will also tackle issues and concerns affecting the Muslim youth such as drugs, vices and western culture and how to surmount those challenges.

In-school and out-of-school Muslim and even non-Muslim youth are welcome to the event. The first 50 registrants will receive free T-shirts and freebies. Participants who will complete the summit will receive certificates.

Last year, FEMSA and Concerned Muslim Individuals, organized the 1st Muslim Youth Summit with Peace Conference and the 12th Sultan Kudarat Awards in partnership with Connect-Philippines.

In the said event, Brother Wael Ibrahim, a prominent international Muslim missionary, facilitated a lecture-workshop participated by Muslim in-school and out-of-school youth of South Cotabato, Sarangani and Sultan Kudarat Provinces and City of General Santos.
